I'm at the Multi-Site Forum in Bloomington MN, (Who scheduled this for MN in November?!) and I just got done presenting and now I'm listening to Scott Wilson talk about multi-site and Charter Schools. It's all really good stuff and I enjoy hearing new ideas and refining the ones we're working on, it really motivates me to go to the next level and I love stealing good ideas!
Here's my question for you, who would you want to hear from? Who would you travel across town to hear? Who would you travel across the nation to hear and who would you travel across the world to hear? I'll go first, I'd travel across town to hear Leith Anderson, Bob Merritt (I'd really love to have coffee with him sometime if someone can make that happen!) and many of the leaders in Minnesota. (CEO's and government leaders etc.) I'd travel across America to hear from a host of pastors and leaders, Bill Gates and the President. (I've done it for John Maxwell, Brian Houston, Ed Young, Bobby Gruenewald and others.) Lastly, I'd travel across the world to hear and meet with Dr. Cho in South Korea, Tony Blair, Bono, and anyone on the Time 100 list! If anyone can make these meetings happen, I'm in!
I'd travel to hear Wess Stafford :-)

This is a great question and really made me think about something that helps determine where my heart is at. First of all, I find it hard to answer without coupling the "listening" to a person to a venue. It is like watching a sporting event - you get a better view of the sport watching it on HD from the best vantage points and instant replay. But it is not like being there e.g., watching Bret Farve walk onto Lambeau field on the Fox Network, elicits entirely different emotional connection than if you were in the stands when he walked out. So now for my "picks". Locally I would go across town to hear Greg Boyd in a "Christian Nation" type conference. Bill Hawkins, Tom Gonser in an entrepreneur setting. Nationally I would go hear John Maxwell, Rick Green, John Crow, Ron Puryear in a "call to freedom/leadership" type setting. Internationally, ideally Cho, R Bonnke, Brian Houston all at a Hillsong type conf

Well, technically, I travel across town to hear you. I'll have to think about the others.
