I got a huge compliment today and I had to share it with you. It wasn't about me really, it was about the church and the people that attend RVC. This morning I was meeting with a pastor from another church and he told me that he lives next to a family from RVC and he says they're the real deal. That they're growing as followers of Jesus and that they're not the only ones, others from RVC are representing God well in the community! That's a huge compliment to a pastor and I have to tell you that it made my day!
One of the frustrations of pastoring is that the work is never done and you always wonder if people are really growing and changing. Even after a significant time of ministry, you realize that you're never done, tomorrow is a new day and there are more people to reach, improvements to be made and a never ending to-do list so it's great to hear feedback like this.
So let me ask you one thing, if I met with your neighbors would they say the same thing about you? I hope so, and if not, today's a new day, make the most of it and grow!
