I will admit, I am a Global Warming skeptic, I do not believe that the earth is warming because of man's actions and I do believe we are being manipulated into believing this by political powers. Most of what Al Gore predicted in his movie has not come true and now according to the research, the earth is actually cooling. I just wish that our leaders would look at the data, all of the the facts and be very cautious in their attempts to alter our way of living. I'm willing to be proven wrong, to look at the data and be convinced other wise but if you're wondering why I blog on this occasionally I'll tell you why.
In school, my son Connor shared his belief of climate change that was not in line with his teachers belief. To my surprise, his teacher called him out in front of the class! After he shared his opinion, the teacher said, "Now class, who can tell Connor why he's wrong?!" Then the teacher called on students to correct Connor and make sure he knew the correct beliefs he should have. So until I'm convinced of Global Climate Change being man made, I'll continue to defend Connor and give him the help he needs so he can stand up to his teachers and classmates. Until then, I'll enjoy the next 10-20 years of global cooling that's now being predicted!
I think it's fair to say there is some level of global weather instability that scientists are discovering. Warming/cooling whatever the facts are, something seems to be changing. The fact of the matter is, we all need to take care of God's world, and I think conservation and policies that respect our natural world and don't pollute it should be encouraged internationally.

That is truly an abuse of position and power by the "teacher." Facts are almost as stubborn as Conor's teacher... What a horrific and I assume typical example of ideological indoctrination. Shameful.

I'm all for keeping the world clean, I just don't think the way we are moving forward with cap and trade is the right thing to do. I also think that anything we do should be based on truth and not manipulation of the facts because once lies are uncovered, there will be no staying power to the change as people refuse to believe what's being said.

I want to know where it's written what the temperature is supposed to be on a daily basis.
I've also noticed a lot of people have stopped calling it "global warming" and are now refering to it as "climate change". Of course the climate is going to change, when the climate stops changing, please let me know - then we'll have something to worry about.

God Bless Conner for standing up without fear and questioning with boldness!John Adams once said"Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations,or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter tha state of facts and evidence". To believe in man made global warming means we must reduce output of co2 emmissions, so maybe we should take a deep breathe and know that, since the industrial revolution our country has never been cleaner. Especially since the inception of the EPA in the early 1970's.
By the way when I went to high school in the 1970's we were taught global cooling. Also the polar bear population has actually increased.
