Well, today I get to have an amazing experience as I get to play Hazeltine National Golf Club as a guest! It's an amazing story and I'll give you the short version.
You're probably aware that I love to set goals for my life. I actually have a huge list of things I want to do as a dad, husband, christian, pastor, golfer, etc. and one of my goals was to be able to play Pebble Beach. I accomplished this four years ago and so I needed a new golf goal (Besides getting a hole in one) and so I made it my goal to play Hazeltine National. It's a private club but I thought I'd aim high and make it a goal and see when it would happen. I just thought it would be cool to play where the pro tour plays and to play the course in Minnesota.
I posted a blog about this goal and some others about a year ago and actually forgot that it was out there in the blog world until I received an email from a member of Hazeltine National! He said he read my blog and that if I hadn't already made it to the course, he would love it if I would be his guest for a round so he could help me fulfill my next golf goal! Well, today's the day and I can hardly wait! I tee off at high noon and I think I'll actually have a hard time hitting the first shot because I'll be smiling from ear to ear! Hopefully I'll settle down after that!
So today, I'm thankful that you read my blog, and I'm really glad that a member of Hazeltine National read my blog! Have a great day today and hopefully you can fulfill some of your life goals, I'm about to fulfill another one of mine!
Good for you! God is so good. He knows how to work through people to help and bless us. I read your post as an encouragement. God is very interested in our lives...every little detail.
And I love your comments that our goals should represesnt the various aspects of our lives: spiritual, family, job, personal interests and desires, etc. Hope you had a blast!

Don't tell my father. He'll be bitter. :-)
