It was Pie Night on our missions trip and I have to say that Sherry Gramms can really make some awesome pies! It just might be worth the trip to Argentina to get in on Pie Night! The team had a blast eating pie, asking questions and having a time of prayer at the end in the home of Rocky and Sherry Gramms. I really appreciate it that Rocky and Sherry opened their home to our team and took the time to just get to know us, it meant a lot to us.
One of the added benefits of going on a global team with the church is that you get to see the kind of missionaries we partner with and then make lifelong friends in the process. I just love exposing our church to the missionaries, pastors and ministry friends that we associate with because it just helps us grow closer to God and see what God is doing outside of RVC and cross pollinate our spiritual lives.
Rocky and Sherry are the type of people that I wish I would have met a long time ago but I'm glad that from here forward I can call them friends. I'm also glad that my son Logan has had the opportunity to be with them and be influenced by them and catch their spirit for ministry. It really is my goal to expose my family and the church to tons of high quality ministers so that we can't help but be better followers of Jesus. These are the type of people that we can hear them say, "Follow me as I follow Christ," and we gladly follow along.
Thanks for Pie Night, and thank you Rocky and Sherry for opening your home, your Bible Institute and your hearts to us. Now tomorrow we'll get back into some construction and work off some pie, I might have had three pieces tonight so I have some serious work to do!
